First of all make your password isn’t something ovbviously like password or the name of a member of family, pet, phone number, etc.
The most common way that those horrible people obtain your password is through your email system.
The scammers might use all different types of methods to obtain this information but they all involve you getting to you to email you or most likely click a learn that pretends to be from ebay/paypal asking for name/password or banking details.
To prevent these scammers make sure to goto the ebay or paypal website by entering web address yourself in the address bar and adding it to your favourites.
If someone emailed you a question about something you are selling on ebay you can still answer questions through the my ebay option.
Obviously there are other ways these scammers obtaining your username and password, such as if you use the same name and password wherever you shop, but the scammers normally prefer the simplist way as shown above.
