If you sell a lot on ebay, you really do need a paypal account. I offer cheque, postal order, but still the bulk of my sales are through paypal and there is a reason for this, it makes life easier for the buyer.
There are still a few powersellers who do not accept paypal but this is very rare, I myself when purchasing have been put off because a seller doesn’t accept paypal, and have purchased the same produce elsewhere.
Writing out a cheque in our hectic is too much to deal with.
Although I do have a merchant account as an alternative for customers who do not wish to use paypal, it is little used.
If you want to sell a lot of items on ebay, alas you have to get a paypal account and pay their fees,
I’m sorry there is no way out of it.
